ANTIQUARIAN BOOK REVIEW
Catalogue of the Month

The internationally renowned Antiquarian Book Review magazine nominated one of our catalogues as Catalogue of the Month.

To quote: "...if you wish to dip into the murky depths of criminality, there would be few better places to start than Clifford Elmer Books' most recent catalogue. Covering all aspects of true crime and criminology, the most avid fan of man's inhumanity to man will find what they are looking for here".

OUR LATEST CATALOGUE

Our 2014 catalogue is available free on request. This contains a selection of items from our stock under the various headings.  We also have a nice selection of Notable British Trials Series from a recent purchase.  Not all have been listed so do check with us if you have gaps to fill in your collection.

Over 200 items are catalogued and subjects include: RARE & UNUSUAL. CLASSIC CASES,  BIOGRAPHIES, FORENSIC & CRIMINOLOGY, POLICE, WILD WEST & AMERICANA, NOTABLE TRIALS.

In September 1978 we issued our first catalogue of True Crime & Criminology books, a very humble duplicated listing.  Since that time we have produced nearly two hundred subsequent editions, cataloguing many thousands of rare books, broadsides and items of ephemera, all relating to true crime.

NOTABLE SCOTTISH, ENGLISH & BRITISH TRIALS SERIES

We always aim to keep a comprehensive stock of this highly collectable series. If you are not familiar with them you can find more information by clicking the link on the left side of the Homepage in the Navigation block, 'Notable Trials - A Short History'.

ON-LINE BOOKSHOP

We are always adding titles to our On-line Bookshop so please check it out when you visit the site. The on-line stock represents only a fraction of our total holding of True Crime & Criminology books. If you do not find what you are looking for, please e-mail, telephone or write as we may well be able to help.  We have now added a number of editions on general subjects such as World War I,  British Social History, History of London, History of York - all included under the Miscellaneous section.  Our Americana heading includes a large collection of items on the American Civil War and some general American social history.  Please ask if you require any further information on any item.
