Gilt and decorated bands to spine, gilt titles on title label. Signature inside cover. First published 1871. The story of the infamous Arthur Orton and his claim to be the Tichborne heir. The proceedings were destined to become one of the longest legal ordeals in British history. Finally Orton was judged to be an imposter and in 1874 was sentenced to ten years imprisonment.
