Not dated but manuscript date of 1909 on endpaper and the Publisher's Catalogue at rear contains items of 1861 etc. Brown paper covered boards and black leather spine are rather chipped around edges. Internally a little light scattered foxing, but nothing too severe. Illustrated with Seven plates of the 'barbarous cruelties' plus an Article from the 'Sussex Archaeological Collections by W.D. Cooper, Esq., on 'SMUGGLING IN SUSSEX'. (Not present in earlier editions). One page Publisher's book list at rear. The events surrounding the murders and also the trials of John Mills and Henry Sheerman, with an account of the wicked lives of the said Henry Sheerman, Lawrence and Thomas Kemp, Robert Fuller and Jockey Brown, condemned at East Grinstead. With the trials at large of Thomas Kingsmill and other smugglers for breaking open the Custom House at Poole. Price:
