In chronological order a detailed volume on the day-to-day business including the conduct of members - often for neglect of duty or unseemly behaviour, rewards for the apprehension of criminals, renting of market stalls, payments for fire losses, renting of premises for events such as book auctions, new equipment for the town gaol, repairs following riots and proceedings against the rioters, provision of food for the poor and many more varied public duties.
