His wonderful collection of Art is one of the major attractions of the town with its unique collection of art work by Remington and Russell.

257pp+illus. Beige cloth with red titles, rather dusty and little marked. Pencil notes relating to the contents of the book on endpapers and few in margins, but o/w pages very clean internally. "The first book devoted entirely to the language of the cowman" - Rampaging Herd, No.13. A fascinating look at all aspects of the cowboy, his life and work by an author who is one of the foremost authorities on Western history. A note on the endpaper says "Pure Entertainment!" which sums it up well. Includes some wonderful illustrations by Nick Eggenhofer (1897-1985) - who was known for his superb western dry-brush illustrations and later produced highly esteemed watercolours and oils for Western galleries.
