30pp+frontis and 12pp+frontis. FINELY REBOUND in green cloth with black and gilt title label, plus new endpapers. Edges of pages chipped and general foxing, but text legible. Martin or Lightfoot, born in Kilkenny in 1795, was hanged at Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1821 for the robbery of Major Bray. His Confession is bound with an account of Dr John Wilson, who died in Brattleboro, VT. Many believed Wilson was the notorious Captain Thunderbolt, the celebrated highwayman who disappeared from Scotland and Ireland. Although quite foxed this is still a nice item and very scarce.
