After graduating from Princetown, Kent joined the American diplomatic service and was sent to Moscow for six years. The then took a position in the American Embassy in London. He became enamoured with a Russian girl, Anna Wolkoff and he was soon endorsing her fanatical anti-Semetic views. He was soon passing on cable communications between President Roosevelt and Prime Minister Churchill. MI5 found that Hitler was reading these messages and Ambassador Joseph Kennedy waived diplomatic immunity for Kent. He was charged and sentenced to seven years in prison.
