Has been lightly folded but with no damage. At some time contemporary with the documents issue the reverse of the sheet has been used to list some interesting legal financial accounts relating to the period 1839-1840. This Gaol Delivery lists 17 different prisoners to appear before Sir Charles Frederick Williams, Knt., Recorder of the said Town and Borough, on Friday, the ninth day of July 1841. Most charges relate to theft of property, with one charge of assultinga Police Constable, James Carter. Ages of the Prisoners range from 17 to 44 years. A very nice example of a printed Gaol Delivery.
