277pp. VG in sl. dusty grey cloth, spine sunned. Endpapers browned by o/w quite clean internally. This copy has the bookplate of Scottish criminologist T.M. Tod inside cover. Newspaper cuttings are affixed to endpapers along with a signed letter from Archibald Crawford Q.C. to T.M. Tod giving him some "confidential" information naming various Judges not clearly identified in the book. A photo cutting of the author is affixed to endpaper. A few ink notes made by T.M. Tod are in the margins and on rear endpaper. An excellent study of the Scottish courts in action. Also includes Mr Crawford's impressions of the Oscar Slater case. A loosely inserted newspaper cutting from the Sunday Mail, September 1946, is an article by the author on the infamous Ardlamont Mystery (Monson). Index. A most interesting association copy.
