The trial of the notorious English poisoner who claimed up to fourteen victims among his family, friends and creditors. At the Inquest on John Parsons Cook, the jury returned a verdict of murder before Palmer was even arrested. The great wave of hostility towards Palmer led to Parliament passing the 'Palmer Act' making it possible for an accused person to be tried in London if he was unlikely to receive a fair trial elsewhere. Two parts numbered consecutively, Evidence for the Prosecution and Evidence for the Defence. A nice copy.
