Original paper covers are bound-in and tanned, but the remaining pages are quite bright. One of the most amazing cases in legal history. The Ex-Lieut. Governor of Vermont relates the incredible story of Jesse and Stephen Boorn, who confessed and were sentenced to death for the murder of their brother-in-law in 1819 and exonerated the following year when their "victim" turned up alive and well in New Jersey.
